I’m excited that PJ Harvey is releasing a new album this Friday. I don’t always like every thing she makes but it’s always an interesting evolution. This video is great and breaks through so many of the regular video tropes.
If this new album is really an examination of the HOPE VI plan it’s super ambitious.

Give that a listen – knowing the details of how they make music (no drum beats, no “I” in the lyrics”) really put a polish on listening to them.

These folks are so brilliant and intense and they put on a hell of a good concert.
I heard this track on All Songs Considered and now I can’t stop listening to it. Feels like Alt-J.
They also had a song from the band Howard – Falling.
It’s dreamier and now I’m just playing these two songs over and over in my office.
I love me some low-budget creativity. If you have time and creativity you can do a hell of a lot with next to nowt.

As always, the music is good and the video is amazing.
It starts out great and just levels up and then levels up and then levels up and then breaks the roof off and then it goes to the sky.
